Use of personal data

On May 25, 2018, the EU's new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force. It is important for us that you feel confident in how we handle your personal data. Personal data is all information that can be used to identify an individual, for example basic information about you such as name and contact information, but also photos of you.

We ensure that all personal data you submit to us are always protected and that the processing of that data follows applicable data protection rules as well as internal guidelines and procedures. The treatment may differ slightly depending on the type of contact you have with us, but we will never disclose the information you provide here to anyone else without first asking you for permission. In doing so, we ask you to read the information below and to give your consent to how Sustainalink uses the information you submit to us.

I am a student interested in knowing more about Sustainalink's project
By filling in an application to a project via our website or at a career fair, your personal data will be processed and stored in our system. The information allows us to contact you and is used for that purpose only. When contact is established your personal data will be deleted.

I am a student and about to carry out a project
During the initial meeting you have with your contact person at Sustainalink when starting a project, or in connection with this meeting, you fill out an application form. Information that you submit in your application is entered in our database and saved for 10 years from the year you completed your project. We use the data for communication during the project, send invitation to the annual meeting for the year in which you are a member of the organisation, compile statistics about education etc. to our financiers and make any long-term follow-up on the effects of the project.

I am a student and about to finalize a project
When you finish a project, you become a member of the non-profit organisation Sustainalink. Membership extends over one year. When completing the project, you do an evaluation of the project where you also enter personal data. This personal data is stored until the end of the financial year and is thereafter deleted from the evaluations. We need the personal information to follow up if you want a certificate of the project sent to you. Your project report is stored for internal use and will not be forwarded to another party without your approval.

I represent a company or other organisation and I am interested in getting help with projects
The personal data you provide in your application to Sustainalink is stored in our database for 10 years from the completion of the project. We use the data for communication during the project and to be able to make any long-term follow-up on the effects of the project. If the project position is not filled, your personal data will be deleted.

I represent a company or other organisation with a project that has been finalized
When the project is completed you do a project evaluation where you also enter your personal information. This personal data is stored until the end of the financial year and is then deleted from the evaluations. We need the personal information to be able to follow up if you have answered the evaluation and if you want further assistance from us. We will save the report that the students have written and will not forward it to another party without your approval.

Your rights
When you agree to our processing of your personal data in the company registration, in the project application or in the general interest form, you consent to our processing of your personal data as described on this page. You may, at any time, request an extract of the personal data we have about you, and should you wish to be deleted send an email to info@sustainalink.se. If you feel that we are processing your personal data incorrectly, there is always the option to contact us or direct a complaint to the Swedish Data Protection Authority.
