Kiviks Musteri AB is a family-owned beverage company in Österlen that processes fruits, vegetables, and berries into products such as apple must, juice, cider, purée, and soups. The company has a long history, backed by five generations of accumulated knowledge on how to best handle fruits and berries to preserve their nutrients and freshly harvested flavors. The origins of the musteri date back to 1888 when Henrik Åkersson planted the first apple trees on the site that would later become Kiviks Musteri. Kiviks Musteri strives to minimize its environmental impact in all aspects of its operations, from raw material handling to the final packaging. The company holds several certifications, including Fairtrade, KRAV, and ISO 14001, which ensure that sustainability efforts permeate daily operations, with a continuous drive for improvement.
Task
Kiviks Musteri has many stakeholders that they must consider in their operations. Of course, the most important aspect is meeting customer demands and preferences, but they also need to engage with employees, suppliers, local authorities, regulators, and many more. Stakeholder dialogue is a key tool within many sustainability frameworks, such as CSRD, ISO 14001, and FSSC 22000, all of which are relevant to Kiviks Musteri.
This project focuses on improving Kiviks Musteri’s approach on stakeholder analysis by developing a structured methodology that the organization can implement. As part of the project, you will familiarize yourself with the company’s current processes for stakeholder engagement, identification of key stakeholders, and compliance requirements according to the various sustainability frameworks applicable to Kiviks Musteri. You will conduct benchmarking to identify best practices in the industry and develop templates and a strategy that Kiviks Musteri can use in executing and monitoring its stakeholder dialogue.
The purpose of the project is to develop a methodology that provides Kiviks Musteri with tools to enhance the accuracy and depth of its stakeholder insights. The work will serve as a guide for Kiviks Musteri to implement an effective stakeholder analysis process, ensuring continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.
Final delimitations will be made in consultation with the company contact and your academic supervisor.
