Your main background could be in humanities, social sciences, engineering, science, economics, or other disciplines. And of course, you are a team player and have great problem-solving skills. We celebrate diversity and realise that a wide range of competencies are needed to solve the complex sustainability issues that society face today.
The organisations
We invite four non-profit organisations in the city of Helsingborg, where each presents their own challenge related to climate issues. Explore the challenges here:
- Hittarps IK is a football and gymnastics club in northern Helsingborg, primarily working toward engaging youths in an inclusive way through their vision ”As many as possible – for as long as possible”. Central to their organisation is Laröds IP, where training, competitions and recreational activities take place. Unfortunately, this also generates waste that are not always recycled properly. Hittarps IK is now searching for innovative ways to encgourage proper sorting of waste.
- Hemlösas Hus is looking for your help in finding a practical and inclusive solution for waste sorting. Design sorting systems for tight spaces — and make sustainability accessible to all.
- Helsingborgs Hockey Club wants to tackle its biggest climate challenge: transport. Why do so many families rely on individual car travel — and how can we shift habits toward greener options like carpooling, cycling, or public transit? Dive into the reasons behind current travel behavior and help design smarter, more sustainable ways to get to the rink.
- Eskilsminne IF: Eskilscupen – Sweden’s second-largest youth football tournament – brings together 18,000 participants in Helsingborg each year. In the school canteens where meals are served, a significant amount of food goes to waste. Eskilsminne IF is now looking for creative students to help develop smart solutions to reduce food waste and lower the tournament’s climate impact.
