Chemical and Material Blacklist – what´s new?

Uppdragsgivare

For 70 years Diab International AB has developed, manufactured, and sold high-performance core materials that can be found in applications all over the world, in industries like marine, aerospace, wind energy and transport. The core materials have a unique combination of characteristics such as low weight and high strength. Diab has 800 employees, production units in Sweden, Italy, US, China and Lithuania combined with 14 sales units around the world.

Uppdrag

Diab has developed a Chemical and Material Blacklist that contains a list of substances and mixtures that are prohibited for use in accordance with global, regional, or local legislation and regulations. The overall purpose of the Blacklist is to ensure that Diab does not use illegal products or substances. The list can be found at https://www.diabgroup.com/sustainability/

It has been a few years since the list was last updated, and Diab is now seeking students who are interested in exploring chemical regulations and contributing to the update of this list.

There is no expectation that students will complete the update entirely. Participants are encouraged to work to the best of their ability, dedicating up to 20 hours per person, and then present their findings. This is a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in chemical legislation while supporting Diab’s commitment to safety and compliance.
